Some random person called asking for my full name and house number, but I didn’t share anything with them.

I tried ringing the number back but it just went straight to voicemail and said the number wasn’t recognised. Didn’t pick up when they called me either.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Marks & Spencer saying I'd won some kind of machine. It sounded dodgy, so I just hung up. They called again, but I ignored it. Pretty sure it was a scam!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Marks and Sparks. She asked if she was speaking to me, but I didn’t say anything. Then she wanted to know if I lived at my old address, which I don’t. After I said no, she just ended the call. Pretty clear it was some sort of scam. (I’m actually based in Bristol.)

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming I’d won a washing machine from M&S. She asked which model I preferred and if I wanted it fitted. She already knew my name and my previous address but I didn’t give her my current one. She mentioned I’d get a confirmation call later but said I could call them back if needed. Then she rattled off a different phone number so fast I couldn’t note it down before she ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian woman telling me I’d supposedly won a washing machine. She said she didn’t need any personal info, just whether I preferred a Hoover or an instant (or something like that). She mentioned the delivery firm would contact me to sort out the delivery, but I reckon that’s just code for seeing when I’m out so they can nick stuff from my house.

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming I’d won a washing machine from Marks & Spencer. She kept changing the brand, first saying I could pick between a Hoover or an Insta make. Then she gave me two different names - first Kathryn, then when she rang again, she said she was Nicky. Told her to send something in writing and after that I just hung up. Total scam, no doubt about it.

I just had a peculiar phone call from a lady purporting to be from Marks & Spencer, announcing that I’d won a washing machine! Naturally, I’ve informed both BT and M&S about this odd encounter. She had my address and postcode, attempting to sort out a delivery time. Curious how she suddenly ended the conversation right after I stated I didn’t need the machine! Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!
