They wanted to check if I still lived at the address they showed. I said yes, I do. Then they asked if I use a smart meter, which I don’t, and I told them I’m not interested in getting one either. Next, they asked if my payments were done by direct debit or by prepaid meter. I said direct debit. For some reason, they asked the same question again, and I answered just like before. They seemed lost and didn’t understand what I meant by direct debit. So I just ended the call.Go5 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be Scottish Gas. Something felt off straight away - just dodgy. They managed to keep me chatting for quite some time though. Fingers crossed I haven’t been compromised or hacked or anything like that.
