A few months ago, right after a row with my partner, I got a text saying “Hope she’s pleased with what she uncovered. Should I quit? I’m after 100 bitcoin.” Probably just bad timing, but it felt dodgy. I tried ringing and messaging back to find out who it was, but no answer at all. Definitely seemed like a scam.

Got a call, answered it but there was nothing, just silence, so I ended the call straight away.

It then asked me to press some buttons on the phone, which I didn’t do, obviously. The call ended abruptly. Definitely some sort of scam, and I reckon it could end up costing you a lot on the phone bill or worse.

Had a dodgy phone call regarding a supposed delivery. They pretended to be from FedEx, but you can easily spot it's a call centre given all the racket in the background. Best to steer clear and not disclose any personal details.

So this guy called and said his name was John claiming he was from FedEx. He told me he had a tracking number for one of my colleagues but weirdly he refused to give it to me directly. Instead, he asked for my colleague’s phone number to supposedly "pass it on". When I asked where the parcel was coming from or going to, all he said was Microsoft, but wouldn’t give me any more details. Honestly, it sounded really sketchy and I didn’t buy his story at all.
