Every time I pick up, it's silent on the other end. After a bit, either I hang up or they do. This has been happening quite a few times in the past day. I'd call it a pest call for sure. I've noticed calls from numbers alike, but the routine is always the same. Best to not pick up and if it's really important, they can leave a message.

If they wanna waste their time, fine, but I’m not picking up and definitely not calling back. I’ve flagged the number as risky because if anyone calls them back, you can’t be sure what’s behind it or how long you’ll be on the line. It could be a fake UK mobile that’s connected to a premium-rate number, which might end up costing you loads if you return the call.

Some bloke rang claiming he was a lawyer who could sort out getting rid of a timeshare cos the rules had changed. I told him I wasn’t interested in whatever he was on about. Just last week I got a call from a woman named Shelley who said she was with The Advice Centre in Henley on Thames. She sounded proper professional but it felt dodgy - she was talking about recovering cash from a timeshare we sold over 16 years ago. She promised to send me some details but never did. Then she called me again from another number. When I told her I wasn’t interested, she kept pushing that we might be owed a big payout. In the end, I just had to hang up on her.

07458196352 - A very courteous American guy called me and already knew my name, though he didn’t say who he was - bit suspicious! Before he could say more, I asked if it was about timeshares, and he said yes. I then requested an email to have my number removed from their list under GDPR rules. He seemed a bit caught off guard but did give me an email - [email protected] Not sure if it’s legit, but if you get a similar call, trying the GDPR complaint might be worth it.

It seems pretty clear to me that this is some sort of dodgy scheme, masquerading as a compensation offer. On the 17th of August 2021, I received a call at my workplace from a chap who claimed he was enquiring about my time share. The predicament is, I've never had one. I requested that he delete my details from his records, as he mentioned he was phoning from Henley-on-Thames. Should they bother me again, I shall not hesitate to report this as a potential violation of GDPR regulations.

The caller showed up as Michael with an email masked for privacy. It was a FaceTime call, but what freaked me out was that after the call, their number popped up in my contacts saved under my own name. I got really worried that someone was trying to hack into my Apple account, so I made sure to take steps to secure everything right away. I've also blocked the number on my phone now to be safe.
