I got a call from someone claiming to be my phone provider, offering a cheaper deal. Pretty quick, they asked me how much my monthly bill was.

This number rang me 4 times one after the other. On the last call, they left a voicemail and actually said my name and mentioned the insurance firm I’m with. They talked about a bunch of cancellations during the covid period and offered a better deal. Honestly, it was hard to catch much because there was loads of background noise. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number since I’m not comfortable with them having my info when I never shared it with anyone.

There was so much noise in the background I could barely catch what he was on about. He claimed it was about my Liverpool Victoria insurance, but I get a ton of calls like this so I rang my insurer directly. They told me they never call customers to review policies first, you’ve got to reach out to them yourself. Sounds like a total scam to me.
