Just got a message from some woman calling herself Linda, after I posted an ad on Gumtree. Definitely a scam, so don’t even think about replying to her or anyone sending something like that to you.

Just to add on, the caller claimed to be Linda Carrigan and used the email [email protected]. A quick search of her name shows she’s linked to loads of scams like this over the past few years. Absolutely avoid sending any cash!

I put up an ad on Gumtree hoping to rent a place, and this so-called landlord messaged me. They asked for a deposit just to set up a viewing or something. Honestly, if you get something similar, don’t hand over any cash!
