Someone phoned me claiming to be from O2, even though I’m not a customer with them. They said they had to send a new SIM card and then asked for my address. I didn’t feel right about it so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, someone with an Asian accent was on the other end. He claimed he was ringing from O2. I didn’t hang about and told him straight up he’s a scammer and to get lost. The call ended right after that, and I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

My phone rang and the caller ID showed "possible scam," so I was really cautious before picking up. A lady with an Asian accent said she was from O2, but since I had just switched to a different network, I guessed straightaway it was a dodgy call. I told her I knew it was a scam and hung up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 asking if I wanted to upgrade my SIM. They said I had to stay on the line for like a minute or two and asked for some security code so they could send a new one out. I just ended the call as soon as they told me to stay on the phone that long, felt dodgy.

This guy rings me up saying he’s from Virgin Media or something like that. I cut him off quick saying, “Why are you calling me? I’m not even a Virgin customer.” Next thing, he just ends the call. Go figure!

Today at about 4.30pm I got a call from 07457412144 but I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the number. Nobody left a voicemail and they haven’t rung back yet either.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, saying my SIM card is old and will soon stop working. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Got a call with just silence for a good five seconds, then suddenly a woman’s voice came on. Definitely felt fishy, like a scam or something.

Watch out, got a call from someone saying they were from o2 offering a free upgrade, turned out to be a total scam. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call saying they were from ‘O2’ saying my sim card was out of date coz of the new 5G, and that it’d stop working within two days. They said they’d send a replacement sim next day but needed a security code off me first. I told them there was no way I’d give that info over the phone and I’d ring O2 myself. They hung up really fast right after that.

Had a really hard time understanding the bloke cos of his strong accent. Never said his name either. He claimed to be from O2 Virgin and said my phone's SIM card was going to get cut off in less than a day. I just said alright, I’d probably just swing by the shop to grab a new SIM or maybe switch networks altogether. That seemed to annoy him a lot - he started getting rude coz I said I wouldn’t sort it through him. Honestly, felt like a proper scam attempt.

Got a call from a woman with a typical Indian accent claiming she was from O2. I asked her why she was calling since I’m not with O2. She hesitated a bit but then said it was about my Virgin Media contract. I told her I don’t have any Virgin Media contract. After a brief silence, she insisted that I’m paying for a contract and said she’d put me through to her supervisor. I told her not to bother and just NEVER call me again.

Got a call the other day from a person speaking with an Indian accent saying they were from Three and could get me a 40% discount on the newest phone. They asked me what network I’m with, what phone I have, and how much my monthly bill is. I told them if they’re ringing me, they should already know all that info. Definitely sounded like a scam - don’t give them any details!

Got a call from a UK mobile number, someone claiming to be from a telecoms firm. When I asked what they actually did or who they were, they wouldn’t say a word. Then, when I questioned why they were ringing me from a mobile, they just cut me off. Bit odd if you ask me.

The call was really hard to understand because of the bad signal, but I caught them saying it was from some company. Seemed dodgy to me, so I’m guessing it was probably a scam.
