I answered the phone and stayed silent for a moment. Sure enough, a lady spoke English but with a strong Asian accent, calling me by my name and trying to talk about car finance. I just bought a brand new car outright with cash. Instead of replying in English, I switched to speaking my native language. She quickly gave up after that. It makes me think someone inside the DVLA might be leaking or selling info, or maybe their database got hacked. This call definitely felt a bit dodgy to me.
