Got a call from someone claiming to do a survey for the Citizens Advice Bureau. When I asked for her name, she snapped back saying she’d already told me at the start and didn’t need to repeat it. She seemed to know my email, so I asked her to send me some info, but since she refused to give her name properly, I won’t be bothering to fill anything out.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise at about 8.30 in the evening. Nobody said a word when I answered. After 16 seconds I just ended the call. Checked the number afterwards and decided to block it.

This number called me repeatedly, like five times in just two days, but never bothered to leave a voicemail. I attempted to ring back once, but the line just went dead before it even rang, which always makes me suspicious. I did get some advice from Citizens Advice last year, so maybe it's connected to that, but if so, they should realise I only complete surveys through a verified email, not over the phone. After reading other comments here, it seems a bit sketchy, so I’m ignoring any more calls from this number. I’ve put it on my block list for the time being.

Every now and then, about every five days near midday, this number rings me up. Honestly, the easiest thing is just not to pick up.

Next time they ring, I’m planning on answering just to see what they want, but I’ll be feeding them nonsense, obviously. Got a call from some so-called Quadrangle survey people, they actually knew my missus's name and asked for her. I told them they seemed a bit dodgy, especially since they were ringing from a mobile number.

I got a call claiming to do a 36-minute survey about my time with the law centre. I let it go on because the woman actually said my name and mentioned stuff about the law centre I’d dealt with before. Her African accent was really strong and she was way too cheerful for my liking. I ended up giving her my email, which I probably shouldn’t have done looking back, but when she asked for my postcode I said no straight away. If this was a scam, they definitely done their homework on me.

First time they rang, they said there was some criminal thing with my name, then they called again claiming I was owed money from the American government. It’s all just a load of scams!

They wanted me to cough up £75 as some sort of insurance in case I missed a payment, all for a £4000 loan I never even asked for. I figured I’d hear them out, but it’s obviously a con. I’ve blocked the number so they can’t bother me anymore and I’ve also reported it to the police. Avoid this number at all costs!
