I got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC but the number looked like a private one. They kept pushing me to give them my info, so I asked them to send a letter to prove they were legit. After that, they tried to get me to pick a date for a callback, which I did, but never heard back. Unsurprisingly, no letter arrived. Something about the whole thing didn’t feel right, so I didn’t share any details.
