Today, I received a rather dubious text purportedly from HSBC. The message claimed that a new payee had been added to my bank account and suggested that I could delete this individual if the name was unfamiliar to me. They included a link for me to remove this so-called payee, but it struck me as a ruse aimed at pilfering my credit card information. Definitely best to steer clear of such dodgy communications!
