Out of nowhere, I received a rather dubious text claiming to be from my auntie, who supposedly needed funds for the DHSS. They were asking for donations, which instantly raised my suspicions. I reckon it's a scam!

Just got a text asking "Tina, how's the Houston operation coming along?" Honestly, I have no idea who Tina is and this number definitely isn’t saved in my phone. Bit weird!

Got a message from this number claiming to be my aunt, saying she was collecting money for the DHSS and asking for a donation. Made me suspicious straight away as it's obviously a scam - such low people trying to con others. I've already reported it to the police.

I got a text from this number that seemed like it was from an old mate, saying things like, "Hey, how's the new job? Been ages since we last spoke." Turned out a friend of mine had their account hacked, so the scammer used their info to try and trick me. I just blocked the number and deleted the message. Just a heads up - watch out for these kinds of messages and don't click on any dodgy links.
