I received a call from this number claiming to be Citizens Advice. I ignored it initially, but when I finally answered, the woman on the other end unleashed a torrent of insults. It was absolutely appalling! I strongly recommend against returning the call or engaging with whoever is behind this. Just steer clear of it altogether!

Over the past few days, I've received about 5 calls from various mobiles, all with people sounding Asian, both guys and girls, claiming to be from Citizens Advice or some credit checking department. One woman even said her name was Ronnie Raymond. When I told them I'd report the number to the police, they just hung up. It’s really annoying how they somehow manage to get your phone number and name - clearly, someone's passing these details around to anyone who asks from some other company or group.

Same here. Some daft bloke with a thick accent rang up, telling me I had “unsecured debt” he’d clear for me. I asked him straight away how much I supposedly owed, and surprise surprise, he couldn’t say. Then I cheekily asked if he could sort out my two mortgages instead. After that, I called him a pest and hung up sharpish. I blocked the number right after. What a complete muppet! Honestly, this kind of nonsense should be banned.

I’m really curious how they manage to have both your full name and mobile number! I just got a call from someone claiming to be from the citizens advice bureau about some sort of unsecured debt? I told her I wasn’t interested in chatting, and she just ended the call straight away.

They called me as well, asking if I could meet up face to face. I said I’m with the serious fraud office and then they just dropped the call.

They claimed to be from the "credit investigation department" and insisted I owed money that had to be settled. I told them I didn’t owe anything, and they just said alright before ending the call. Like others have mentioned, it’s clearly a dodgy scam, but weirdly there was a sort of call centre noise in the back, even though the number was a mobile. Best to just ignore and hang up.

Got a call from someone with a heavy accent claiming to be from the “credit investigation team”. They said my account was flagged or something like that. When I told them I don’t owe any money, they just cut the call. Total spam and probably a scam. I blocked the number right away. Seriously, why on earth would a legit company ring you from a mobile? Makes no sense at all.

I got a call from someone who didn't sound English and claimed they were from Citizen Advice. They said they saw I always pay my bills on time and that the government wanted to give me some sort of offer. It all felt a bit off so I just ended the call. The weird bit was it was from a mobile number and they used my maiden name, which made me even more suspicious. Watch out for stuff like this!
