I keep getting these annoying messages on WhatsApp and Insta, usually from accounts with pics of young women. The message usually kicks off with something like, "Hey, how was your night?" or something similar. They seem to swap names a lot - today it’s Amanda, next day Jessica, who knows! Best just to block and delete straight away.

I got this message on WhatsApp from +44 7456 265885 that said, “How you doing right now? 😇🌈”. The sender said her name was Jessica, but I don’t know anyone by that name. It seemed a bit fishy to me, so I didn’t reply.
