This number rang me with a woman saying she was Jane, working for some medical alert company. She tried to give me a free medical alert gadget. When I asked why she was contacting me, she said my name popped up on some list of people with mobility problems. I do have mobility difficulties and hold a blue card. I'm going to check with my local council to see if they share their blue card info. I told her I wasn’t interested to continue the chat. If I ever needed one, the local hospital’s been really good, and they would sort me out with a device.

I rang up my local council and they told me they never share their blue badge records with any medical alert firms. The call came outta nowhere. The person on the line said they got my number from some list of folks with mobility problems. Since that’s not true at all, I’ve marked the number as dodgy and blocked it straight away.
