Got a call on my landline from someone claiming to be “Daisy” from Amazon, saying there’d been strange activity on my account - something about a £49 gift card purchase. They actually knew my name, but none of our Amazon accounts are connected to our landline number. I mentioned it seemed odd to get a phone call instead of an email. She hesitated a bit there. I told her I’d look into it myself and contact Amazon customer support if needed, then ended the call. It felt off, but when I checked the number online, there wasn’t much info.
