Got a text from this number saying something like HSBC ALERT...payment request from...name...through your mobile banking app. Thing is, I don’t even have the HSBC app, so I didn’t follow the link they sent. Still, I’m planning to let HSBC know about this as soon as I can. Definitely suspicious stuff going on here. Watch out, who knows what kind of scam this is meant to be?

Got a dodgy text claiming to be from HSBC, saying I needed to confirm I hadn't added a new payee on my current account. The link they sent is a trick to grab your personal info from your phone if you click it. HSBC know about this and are working to shut the number down, but be careful and don't get caught out!

Got a text from this number saying something about HSBC ALERT...a payee request for some name using a mobile banking app. Since I don’t use HSBC’s app at all, I haven’t clicked on any links to their site. Planning to let HSBC know about this straight away. Really suspicious stuff! What’s the game here and who’s behind it? Watch out!
