Got a ring on my mobile from an unknown number, some woman with an Asian accent. She was asking if I’m satisfied with my Aviva or Legal & General life insurance (which I don’t even have). Somehow she already knew my name and postcode. I told her to remove me from their calling list but she just ignored it, kept pushing the same question about Aviva or Legal & General. I told her it’s none of her concern and to stop calling me. Then she said she’ll keep ringing me nonstop and hung up. Lovely! Blocked the number straight away but I’m pretty sure the calls won’t stop.

Had a bloke ring me up asking if he’d got Mrs XXX on the line. I didn’t give him my name straight away and asked who he was first. He keeps saying, “Is this Mrs XXX?” so I asked again, “Who’s this, please?” Then out of nowhere, he told me to get lost and hung up on me. Honestly, what a cheeky way to behave!

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent at first, talking about Aviva car insurance, so I just ended it straight away. Then a couple of hours later, some other guy, also with an Asian accent and barely able to speak English, asked about my Nationwide account - which doesn't even exist. When I asked for his name, he said it was George Smith, which sounded totally dodgy. After giving him a piece of my mind for a few minutes, he hung up. Now my phone’s been blowing up with no caller ID calls like five times a day, all of which I just ignore.

Got a call from this number on the morning of 13/10/17. Some bloke named Daniel claimed he was ringing about a washing machine. Didn’t ask who I was, and when I told him not to bother calling me again, he rudely told me to get lost. I could hear loads of other calls going on in the background. Got a call from an Asian woman who wanted me to verify my postcode first. Then she started asking what kind of phone I had, like Samsung or Nokia. Just after that, she hang up on me. Weird enough, right after the call, my phone rebooted all by itself.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from Nationwide, asking if my postcode was right and if I’m satisfied with my bank. Not entirely sure what that was all about, but seeing these other similar calls makes me a bit worried. Think I should get in touch with Nationwide to check?

07453532969 What a muppet... proper rude bloke and clearly trying to scam. Some Asian fella rang up, asked if this was [my name], then wanted me to give my postcode. I asked what it was about and said I wasn’t sharing any info. He flew off the handle and told me to “p*** off, nobody wants you here... if you won’t give your name and postcode then just clear off!” Absolutely nuts.

Got a ring from this mobile number, sounded like a bloke with an Indian accent but there was loads of noise like he was in one of those call centres. He asked me for my name, so I asked him who he was. He said he was from Nationwide and wanted to double check an old postcode. I asked what it was regarding, he just mumbled something about Angela and then suddenly hung up. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, she asked if I was Mrs -------. I asked her why she needed to check my name, and she said it was just to know who she was talking to. Then I asked her who she was and what the call was about, but she just hung up. When I tried ringing the number back, it said unknown number. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Somebody called me with a strange accent, asking me what brand of phone I had. Then they tried to get me to verify some personal info, I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving any details to someone I didn’t know. But they just kept going on and on. I told them maybe they couldn’t hear properly and that I didn’t want to continue the call, then they just cut me off.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be from Aviva life insurance, something I definitely don’t have. Told them straight up I don’t share my info with random cold callers. The person got really rude and said “You’ll be getting calls from me over and over” before slamming the phone down. Brilliant.

I asked him what he was on about calling me, and he started swearing at me, calling me all sorts. I told him he sounds like he’s trying to scam me. Then he said he’d cancel my policy and sue me. I just told him I’m waiting for his lawyer’s letter to arrive, and he just hung up on me.

Got some dodgy msgs on my phone from s1nine@hotmail[###]. Mentioned some girl from Stourbridge charging 20 quid, and another Pakistani lass from Quarry Bank for 10 quid. If you want more info, gave a couple of numbers: 07935621677 and 07800 714878, plus that email’s worth a look. Definitely sketchy stuff, be careful!
