I got a call from a cheery woman trying to convince me to bundle my oven and washing machine insurance to save some cash. She promised to send me a letter showing the benefits and claimed it would be cheaper if I paid straight away, asking for my bank info and everything. Naturally, this made me suspicious. I told her I'd consider it if she sent something in writing. She then said it was a one-time deal, but when I insisted on written proof before anything else, she just hung up on me.

Somebody rang claiming to be from the call blocking team, and I just told them it was a shame their service hasn't stopped my calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a broker in India, asking for my bank card info. Definitely sounded like a scam, especially targeting older people. Stay alert!
