I had a call from a number I didn’t know, and when I asked who it was, a woman started going on about Carphone Warehouse. I just hung up straight away - seemed like a scam to me. No idea where they got my number from. I reckon you’ve got to watch out when buying stuff online, especially from certain websites, coz I’m pretty sure they pass on people’s info to dodgy places that sell or share numbers. The voice sounded like it was Indian too - seems like a lot of scam calls come from there nowadays.

Without a doubt this was a scam. I got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, asking if I wanted to hear about their "great deals on phones". You could hear loads of noise in the background like a call centre, just like other people here pointed out. Total dodgy call.

I tried ringing back the number that showed up as a missed call, but it said the number wasn't valid.

Got a call from someone claiming to be carpool warehouse offering a great deal on photos. I told them to ring me back in an hour so I could check for other offers. Then I called the real company’s customer service to see if that number was legit. They said it was a scam and warned me not to share any bank info with that caller. Definitely don’t trust this number!

Got a call from someone called Saman claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, trying to push some phones on me. The background was super loud, couldn’t really hear properly. She mentioned they found my number through some contract phone database or something.

Received a call from this number but they just hung up straight away. Tried ringing them back and it came up with an unrecognised number message. Really weird.

This number rang me, but the line was really bad and kept cutting out. When I asked why they were calling, they just hung up instead of giving me an answer. Quite odd.
