Just received a call a short while back from someone claiming that my computer is infected with a virus. They urged me to install a particular application so they could access my machine remotely to resolve the issue. I have a strong feeling they were attempting to gain unauthorised access to my device.

Totally a scam! My iPad got locked with a message telling me to call Apple support. When I phoned the number, the bloke on the other end said he was from Windows. It was obvious it was dodgy. Luckily, a mate helped me get my iPad unlocked in the end.
