Caution is key! It might seem daft to some, but if the wrong individual comes across this message, they could easily fall prey to a con. I received a text that said: "Hey Mum! I've switched my number and provider. This is my new number, please get rid of the old one." STAY VIGILANT! Don't hesitate to block those tricksters!

Got a WhatsApp message claiming to be from my son, saying he switched phone providers and this was his new number. Then they said their bank had frozen the account and asked me to cover a bill for £1,875, promising to send payment info soon. Pretty obvious it was a con, so I’ve blocked that number straight away.

I sent her a quick note saying, "Hey mum, I’ve switched networks so this is my new number now. Feel free to get rid of the old one. Cheers ❤️👍"

Somebody rang and started shouting insults, acting like they were some kind of long-lost family member that I’ve never heard of. Proper rude and dishonest.
