Got loads of calls from this number, always letting the voicemail take them. Finally picked up today and some bloke called John was on the line, saying he was ringing about my life insurance with Royal London. Told him I don't have any policy with them, and he just hung up straight away. It's really frustrating how these dodgy callers keep pestering folks. I'd tell older people to just let the answerphone handle calls unless they know who it is - maybe use a special ringtone for mates and family. It's awful how scammers go after the elderly like that.

Some bloke called himself ‘Steve’ from Aviva Life Insurance, saying he was checking if I was satisfied with my policy. I asked where he got my number from and who said it was alright to ring me up. He said he wasn’t sure. Spoke really quietly and sounded a bit jittery - probs a newbie at the scam call centre?

After a while, some bloke with a foreign accent picked up, asked if he was speaking to us by name, and claimed he was with Aviva. Then he wanted to know who our life insurance provider was. I just ended the call. Judging by the other comments, these folks seem to be involved in everything - from life insurance to tech support for windows. I picked up the phone and the person on the other end just stayed silent when I asked who they were. After about half a minute, they just ended the call.
