About a couple of hours back I got a call from someone pretending to be one of my kids saying "Hi Dad" and mentioning they got a new SIM and asking me to call back. Then, just ten minutes ago, I got another message saying their phone had dropped in the sink and stopped working, asking what to do next. I rang my son on his regular number and he said everything was fine with his phone. Pretty clear this was a scam trying to catch me out.
