I got a voicemail supposedly from HMRC saying they’d sent me a letter that bounced back and now they’re taking me to court. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone, probably so they could swipe my details, but I was curious and actually hit 1. Then a man with an Asian accent asked for my name, and when I told him, he said he should already know who I was, mumbled a bit, and then just hung up. Just so you know, HMRC never calls you out of the blue like that. I’ve blocked the number and reported it straight away.
