I got a call on my mobile from 07449 145796. When I answered, there was a recording in an American accent saying it was from 'Her' Majesties Revenue & Customs about some letter they said was returned to them. After the message finished, I heard silence for a bit, then someone with an East Asian accent asked me for my name and address. When I asked who they were and their company, the call just got cut off. As far as I know, HMRC never phones from mobiles and usually contacts me through my gov.uk account. Happened on 23 September 2024.
