3 yearsMy home phone rang and when I answered, there was a recorded message that was all crackly. It claimed to be from my bank but didn’t say which one. The message said there had been suspicious activity on my card, mentioning a £300 charge to Amazon and an international money transfer, and told me to press 1 if I’d made those payments. I ended the call straight away, checked my bank account and saw no such charges. Plus, my bank always uses a landline and someone talks to you directly, not some dodgy recording.
