On 19th Feb 25, my BT landline got a dodgy message telling me to press a button for a ‘security alert’ about big sums being taken from accounts of strangers. Of course, I ignored it and didn’t check my online bank statement or anything. It’s clear they want you to panic and hit a key or try for ‘security help’ while it’s still playing - just a scammer ready to grab your details.
