I got a call from some automated voice saying it was Immigration, telling me there was an issue with my visa. It asked me to press 1 for English, 2 for Chinese, then repeated the message in Mandarin. When I pressed 1, a guy with a thick Chinese accent answered with “Hello, Immigration.” I asked what he wanted, but as soon as I did, he just hung up on me. It’s clearly a scam, but I can see how people might get scared by it!
