On 09/05/2017, this number rang up my mum, who’s got Alzheimer’s and is quite vulnerable. They claimed she was having issues with her internet, which is strange as she doesn’t even have internet at all. My brother, who was there at the time, also answered but as soon as he did, they just ended the call. The person on the other end spoke with a strong Asian accent.

Got a call from someone with a pretty heavy Asian accent claiming to be from my internet company. Problem is, I don’t even have internet at home, I just use my phone for that. I told her this and then she just ended the call. Why hasn’t this number been tracked or something done yet? Seeing all these similar reports, you’d think some steps might've been taken by now.

I usually let the answerphone pick up if they don’t say anything. Also, I only bother answering if the caller’s name shows up on my contacts - if not, I just ignore it.

got a call from a woman with a really thick south asian accent, claiming to be 'jane' from the 'tech team' at my internet company. she told me i hadn’t paid my bill. when i asked her to name my internet provider, jane’ just ended the call without any explanation, clearly not ready to think on her feet. better add this number to your blacklist.

On 26th April 2017, I got a call from 07448655832. The person said they were from Virgin Media and wanted me to link up via TeamViewer. I tried to get them to prove they had access to my account details, but they said they needed to check with the accounts team and that it would take about 15 minutes. They told me to hang on the line, but then the call just ended. When I rang Virgin Media later, they told me they don’t make calls like that and it was definitely a scam.

I just got a phone call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media, my internet supplier. Thing is, Virgin Media isn’t even my provider, so they asked me who I actually use. Sounds like a total scam to me.

this bloke called saying he was from virgin media, asked if my internet was slow and told me to look at the blinking lights on my router. then he told me to grab my pet... bit odd! sounded fishy straight away. i told him no thanks, he kept saying he was with vm. i ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Virgin, said they were verifying or something. Never asked for any passwords, so I told Virgin about it straight away and gave them no info. Felt a bit dodgy, so better safe than sorry.

So, I saw this call from +1 516 938 3894 pop up on my phone but I didn’t pick it up. Right after it stopped, my phone rang again, this time from 07448 655832. There was barely a second in between the two calls. Feels like these numbers are connected somehow.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT about internet problems. The moment I said I wasn’t a BT customer, she just cut the call straight away.
