Complete scam, pretending to handle bank PPI claims and insisting they've secured £2550 plus an extra £1550 interest from my bank. When they asked which bank I use, I told them "Paris Bank" (which isn’t real), and they didn’t even realise it was made up. They gave me some sort of reference and ID numbers, saying they never ask for card or bank details and mentioned something about the money being in a wallet? Then they put me through to another caller, Asian accent, who asked for those same ID and ref numbers. I deliberately fed him fake ones, and here’s what happened next...

Got a call from some people claiming to be from a company, but honestly, they were just after my bank info. Don’t trust anything these dodgy scammers say, they’re just trying to steal from you. The companies they mention? Totally made up. If everyone just ignores these calls, they won’t get a chance to scam anyone. Most of the time, if the number begins with +44, it’s not a normal landline but probably a bot making the call. Make sure to report any suspicious calls to phishing.gov.uk or text ‘dall’ to 7726 to help stop these fraudsters.

Got a call from some Asian number again, best just to ignore it. If you want, you can report it by texting the number to 7726 - they’ll block the caller from ringing you again.

Got a call from some bloke saying my bank account was charged 900 quid and to "press one for help." I looked at my bank and there was nothing wrong at all. Totally made up. I've blocked the number and reported it. Watch out for these scams!
