Got a couple of suspicious messages today on my dad's phone, both saying they were from HSBC. Luckily, he was smart enough to tell us straight away and didn't fall for that dodgy link about hsbcuk.secure-key-alerts[###]. Good job he was cautious!

Got a message saying a new payee called Mrs K Adams was added on 30/04/20 through 07447836947. Said if it wasn’t me, I should log in and cancel it right away at something like securityhsbcuk or secure-key-alerts. Honestly, we’ve got enough on our plates right now without having to worry about dodgy stuff like this!

Like many others have said, it’s definitely a scam and they’ll try to get you to enter your bank details. Watch out for these calls!

Just got a message from HSBC saying a new payee has been added. Don’t trust it or tap the link - it looks very sketchy to me.

In Derbyshire here, saw similar comments saying not to click any links in texts like that. Best to report it straight to Action Fraud, really.

Got a message from 07447 836947 at about 09:37 saying hsbc: new payee added mrs k adams on 30/04/20. It looked dodgy since I never added anyone. The text told me to log in and cancel if it wasn’t me, and had a link to hsbcuk secure-key-alerts[###]. Pretty sure this is a scam, be careful everyone!
