1 yearSomeone rang me saying they were from BT and claimed they'd been fixing my broadband and spotted some dodgy activity. They wanted me to ‘check my IP address status’. I pretended I’d done it but hadn’t, so when they asked how, I asked them to explain the steps. Then I asked if they were legit BT staff. After that, they just swore at me and ended the call.
