Got a text claiming to be from HSBC about a "payee request" by r davies (all lowercase). Sounds fishy just like those other scams. Seriously, don't ring the number or reply to the email they gave.

Got a message supposedly from "Barclays" saying someone called R Davies made a payee request. The message was full of terrible grammar and didn’t even use capitals properly. They included a dodgy link to some sketchy website asking me to verify if I actually did it. Total nonsense, best just block and forget about it.

Just got a text that looked like it was from HSBC saying something about a "payee request" from r davies - and they didn’t even bother with a capital letter. Sounds exactly like one of those scams going around. Definitely don’t ring that number or reply to their email. I’ve already told the ICO about it.

Got a message from that number again about 10.30 this morning. The msg said it was Barclays: 'R davies has requested payment from your account via mobile banking. If this wasn’t you, go to: barclays[###].deny-or-confirm[###].' Sounds very dodgy to me, probably a scam to steal your info!

Got a worrying message that said: "HSBC: A payee request for Mrs K Adams has been made on your HSBC mobile banking account. If you didn't authorise this, check out: security.hsbcuk[###]nfirm-securekey[###]." After looking up Mrs K Adams, I found loads of numbers tied to scams using the same name, so definitely avoid clicking any links in this message!
