Got a call from 07447656981 saying they were from Barclays, but I don’t even have an account with them. Seemed super dodgy. I looked it up here and it’s definitely a scam. Don’t fall for it, don’t open any links. Just block the number, delete the texts, and let others know to stay clear as well.

Just got a text on my phone, said it was from Barclays about a payment for this R Davies person, asked me to click a link to confirm or deny. The link looked like the Barclays sign-in page, but I had a bad feeling about it. So I called Barclays directly and guess what? They had no record of any payment request. Definitely a scam trying to look legit!

Received a message from this number saying something like "Barclays: a payment request for R Davies on your account via mobile banking. If it’s not you, please go to barclays{###] deny-or-confirm(###]". Thing is, I don’t have any Barclays account and I definitely don’t use mobile banking. Still, I do know someone named R Davies, which makes me wonder what’s going on.

Just got a text from HSBC asking me to pay for someone named Mrs K Adams. I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so this has to be some kind of mistake.

got a message about a payee request for mrs k adams through what they said was my hsbc mobile banking. problem is, ive never even signed up for digital banking with hsbc. not falling for that one!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC asking about a payment supposedly made by a Mrs. K Adams. Seemed fishy to me, like a scam trying to get info. Definitely don't trust calls like that without checking with the bank directly first.
