Just a heads up, got a couple of messages about some new payee being added. They told me if it wasn’t me, to click on a link. Seriously, don’t bother clicking that link - it’s a scam!

HSBC just told me it’s a total scam that r davies got put on my account as a payee. Watch out, it’s not legit at all.

Got a message claiming it was HSBC about some new payee being added. Thing is, I don't even have an account with HSBC! Definitely a scam.

Got a text that looked like one of those scams again. It said something like HSBC: A new payee called R Davies was added on 18/05. If you didn’t do this, you should cancel the payee by going to: Home-banking-alerts[###]. Sounded dodgy to me!

Got a text about some standing order for R Davis, with a link to click if I wanted to cancel it. Definitely a scam, don’t trust it!

Just like everyone else has said, some R Davis (all lowercase for some reason) was added as a payee on my HSBC account - which I don’t even have! Do these muppets really think I’m daft enough to believe this? What a load of rubbish!
