On 27/02/23 I got a call from 07447 580 125, sounded like an Indian guy claiming to be from BT. They said they were following up on an email I supposedly got just half an hour before. The email had a pin number in it, which BT would never do. The email looked quite official though, showed part of my email address like BT usually do, but it didn’t show the last four digits of my account number. They told me there was a problem with my broadband and said to use that pin. Right away I knew it was a scam. I rang BT afterwards to check and they confirmed it wasn’t them.
