Got a call from an Indian call centre pretending to be Amazon, I think the number showed up as if it was from Ireland, probably because of some IP trick. I've noticed quite a few scam centres using UK numbers like this. They basically rent out numbers that haven't been assigned yet from telecom companies, and since there's no rule stopping them, it’s all technically above board even though it’s dodgy as hell.
