Some lady said something like '02' and then just cut the call off on me.

Here’s how the scam goes down. They ring you up pretending to be from o2, saying they can give you a better deal than the one you’ve got. While you’re chatting, they’ll trigger a recovery code to be sent to your phone. Anyone can ask for an account recovery code, but it only gets sent to the phone number linked to the account. Then, they’ll ask you for the code you just got from "o2". If you give them the code, they can get into your o2 account and start ordering new phones or whatever, and have them sent out using your account.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from o2, but it was totally a scam. When I called them out on it, they got really disrespectful. Definitely a dodgy situation.
