I got a call from this bloke today (5/12/25) who sounded like he might be African or Indian. At first, he seemed really helpful, but then he started pressing me for all sorts of info. When I told him I wasn’t interested in his investment scheme, he asked if I had a mortgage. I told him that was none of his concern and mentioned I owned my home outright. You could tell from the pause that he was probably noting down everything. It felt like a setup to get me involved in some dodgy scam, just like all the other tricksters trying to catch unsuspecting folks out.

They called me a couple of times earlier today but I just ignored it. Then they rang again about 3 in the afternoon, and since it was a mobile I picked up thinking it might be the hospital. It was a really polite American lady, but she immediately started with something like “Hi Xxxx xxxx, we think you might be interested in the stock market and Bitcoin...”. I told her no thanks, ended the call and have now blocked the number.

They just called, no message left, and now it won’t even pick up my calls. I've blocked them.
