I got a call this morning from someone claiming to be Visa, saying there were two charges on my card - one from Amazon and another. They asked me to press 1 if I’d made the purchases or press 2 to speak to someone if I hadn’t. This isn’t the first time I’ve had one of these calls, and I know it’s a scam. For starters, they never say which card or bank it is. Also, they say “charges” instead of “transactions,” which sounds off. Plus, real banks don’t call from a mobile phone number like that.
