I received a rather dodgy call today, where an automated voice prompted me to press 1, leading to an individual with an Indian accent. This so-called operator insisted that I had to complete an online form to terminate my Amazon subscription and even directed me to anydesk.com to obtain the said form. I flatly refused, reminding them that all I needed to do was go directly into my Amazon account to cancel it, which I proceeded to do right after we hung up. They claimed that Amazon had levied a charge of over £70 against me, but I’ve checked, and that’s simply not the case. Clearly, this is a scam, and they have nothing to do with Amazon!
