Got the same text again. I don't have any accounts with NatWest or Lloyds, and there's no way a proper bank would tell you to ring a mobile if there’s an issue with your account. This is the fifth scam like this I've had this month. Looks like my number’s been passed around somewhere because even my real bank doesn't have it.

Got a message this morning at 05:04 on 14/09/16 from GMX saying "Your account with Lloydsbank has been blocked. Ring 07441916280 immediately." I found it fishy for a few reasons: first, I don’t even have an account with Lloyds; second, why are they asking me to call a mobile number? And third, the wording was off - "Lloydsbank Bank" just sounded wrong. Not sure how these scammers get hold of info like this, but it’s pretty alarming.

Received this message on Tuesday, the 13th of September at about 14:52: GMX "Your account at Lloydsbank Bank has been frozen. Please ring 07441916280 immediately." Totally a scam, just look at the phrase 'Lloydsbank Bank' - who repeats bank twice? Plus, that number’s a mobile one, no proper bank would use that to contact you. Really dodgy stuff, if this pops up for you, report it straight away to 7726 which is the official spam reporting service. These scammers want to nick your details and cash, so don’t ever call back or respond!
