Definitely a scam, steer clear if you can. They’re basically trying to scam both the council and the people in council housing. Proper dodgy.

So, this person said they were calling from Gowing Law. I first got their number when some people who said they worked for Aid4Ummah turned up at my house trying to sell me a social housing thing. Later on, I found out Aid4Ummah doesn’t even run anything like that here in the UK. The caller actually confessed they sue local councils over housing repairs and then keep a big chunk of the cash themselves. Honestly, don’t believe a word they say!
