I saw the number come up and thought it was one of those annoying telemarketers, so I just let it go to my voicemail. When I listened back, it just sounded like some office noise but nobody actually talking. I’m gonna block that number now, no point keeping it. 🚫

I received a call around half past eight in the evening on the 6th of October while we were in the midst of a family gathering, so I didn’t catch the number. The caller had a rather posh accent and mentioned something about a note left on some vehicle regarding an accident. Initially, I thought it might just be a prank-possibly orchestrated by my brother. Interestingly, a colleague of mine at work received a similar call on the 17th of October. Now I’m starting to wonder if this might be some sort of scam.

I got a call from someone claiming I’d hit their car or something like that. Sounded super fake, like one of those prank calls trying to get you to call them back. No way it was a friend, especially since they know I’m at work right now. Definitely felt dodgy.

I recently received a call from the same number. The person on the line had quite a refined English accent and was prattling on about a Four Seasons pizza I supposedly ordered. It felt very much like some sort of scam, didn’t it?

I just received a phone call from someone thanking me for leaving my contact information on his car, which I found a bit perplexing as I hadn’t done any such thing. When I asked him to provide me with the registration number he claimed was left, he became rather unpleasant. This rather pompous gentleman insisted that I was mistaken and that I hadn’t been in the country recently. He ended up getting quite confrontational, even chuckling about how he’d be driving around in a spiffy new motor. I decided it best to hang up and add him to my blocked list.

Some bloke rang me claiming I’d hit his car and left my number on his windscreen, then asked if I was insured. I told him my insurance company would sort things out. Total scam, definitely FAKE!

So this bloke with a really posh English accent rang me up, saying thanks for writing down my number on his car because he reckoned I’d bumped into him and then scarpered. When I asked him for any specifics, he just told me his insurance would sort it out, kinda like someone else mentioned here a couple of days back. I’m not exactly sure how the con works but it’s definitely dodgy.

I received a rather posh chap on the phone who expressed his gratitude for my contact details being left on his vehicle, insisting that I had grazed him and then sped away. When I probed him for specifics, he casually mentioned that his insurance would sort it all out, echoing what someone else had shared on this site.

I can’t quite put my finger on the scam, but it absolutely reeks of one!

I received a rather peculiar call from a chap who spoke English impeccably, thanking me for providing my phone number which he claimed was linked to a mishap involving his vehicle. There’s this jolly little trick known as 'juassp' or something along those lines, which allows you to make prank calls while eavesdropping on the unsuspecting victim's responses in real-time. I received multiple calls from this number last Thursday while I was busy at my workplace, so I chose not to pick up. Later in the day, I decided to answer when the same caller reached out again. He claimed that I had scratched his vehicle and left my details on it. When I asked for my registration number, he ominously stated that he'd be contacting my insurance and would ensure I'd be stung financially. I found the whole situation quite amusing, told him to jog on, and promptly ended the call. Concerned about his tactics, I reported the incident to the police, suspecting he could attempt to pull this stunt on someone less savvy. The police recorded my report and provided me with a crime reference number, advising me to file an official report with Action Fraud online, which I duly did. If more people take action like I did, perhaps this individual will be caught before he manages to deceive someone else.
