They somehow got into our Amazon Prime account and added nearly £1,000 worth of items to our basket. A man named ‘David Gonzalez’ rang us and said he worked in Amazon’s Returns team in London, even gave an employee reference number. He wanted my wife to install an app on her phone, but we just ended the call. Later, when we spoke to Amazon Prime themselves, they told us they’d never call us and only communicate through email.
