They managed to infiltrate our Amazon Prime account and filled our basket with nearly £1,000 worth of items. During a rather suspicious phone call, a chap named 'David Gonzalez' gave what he claimed was a reference number from Amazon and said he worked in their Returns department in London. He pressured us into downloading an app on my wife's phone, which immediately raised alarm bells, so we terminated the conversation. Later, when we reached out to Amazon Prime directly, they reassured us that their team would never call us and would solely rely on emails for communication. To add to our worry, we received an email notification from Amazon about a login attempt originating from "North Holland," which is definitely not our location.
