I reckon this number is a bit dodgy. I received two missed calls on WhatsApp, and the profile picture claims to be from the National Lottery. I shan't be returning the call, that's for certain.

The caller said they were from "UK Choice" and it sounded like some sort of offshore call centre. A bloke named Bruce was on the line. He asked if I could spare just half a minute and claimed he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I gave him a few extra seconds but then quickly hung up. Definitely blocking them from now on.

I got a call on my phone from someone with a strong accent, they just asked for me by my first name. When I told them they had the wrong person, they just hung up straight away (so I blocked the number). Then I noticed this other number, 0191 949 0201, ringing both my mobile and landline. Thing is, nobody apart from us knows the landline number yet because it’s new and hasn’t been shared. Makes me wonder if Virgin got annoyed after I complained and left, or if maybe BT passed my details on somewhere. Really fishy!

I picked up and said hi but no one replied. Then today I got a call from 01919490202, didn’t bother to pick up as it was a strange number. Probably the same people checking in after yesterday. I’m just gonna block both numbers now.

Got a couple of calls yesterday from 07441 399478, both times asking for some woman. First call I told them it’s the wrong number, they just hung up. Second time a woman phoned, asking for the same person and even wanted me to confirm the address, so I just blocked the number. Then today, 0191 949 0202 called with the exact same questions. I blocked that too, then got calls from 0191 949 0203 and 0191 949 0204 right after - seemed fishy how they only changed the last digit! Both men and women on the line spoke quickly with a strong accent, definitely weird.

They wouldn’t say and just hung up on me. Pretty sure it’s a scam. I’ve had three calls from them since yesterday and have now blocked the number. Honestly, if they ring again, I’m going to give them a right telling off.

Got a call from some random number today, no clue who it was. The person said something like, 'ma'am, I'm not selling you anything, just spare me 20 seconds.' When I asked who they were and where they were ringing from, they just talked right over me, mumbling with a strong accent. Honestly, I couldn't catch a single word. Got a call from this mobile number. The person claimed they weren’t selling anything but went through all my personal info and wanted me to verify it. I told them I don’t provide any details over the phone and asked why they needed it. They kept pressing why I was refusing to answer.
