This bloke said he was ringing from a life assurance firm. I asked why he was using a mobile phone to call me. He sounded a bit caught out and said he was working remotely due to the ongoing situation, though you could hear loads of people chatting in the background, so obviously a call centre. I told him I also work from home but have a proper work number linked to my company. Then I mentioned that I’m on the telephone preference service and insisted he take my info off their records. Have blocked him since.

Got a call from someone called Alex who said he was with National Green Energy, talking about free boilers the government might be giving out.
