I got caught up in a dodgy Christmas promotion from a bloke who said he was with Vodafone. Naturally, I thought I’d better verify it, so I reached out to Vodafone directly. Turns out it was all a ruse! As a pensioner, I suppose I’m an easy target, and now I’ve lost £129, which is sitting in some bank called Revolut. It's quite disheartening to see them exploit vulnerable folks like myself!

Looks like this number’s being used by scammers pretending to be from Vodafone. Avoid answering if you get a call from it.

It appears that I was approached by someone claiming to represent Vodafone, proposing a rather curious offer. They were asking for a payment of £49 upfront in order to secure a 20% discount on my plan for the upcoming year. Quite the puzzling proposition, wouldn’t you agree?

Someone rang me from 01156779840 saying they were from Vodafone and offered a free upgrade on my phone. It was one of those cold calls and I wasn’t sure if it was legit.
