Got a call that felt like one of those automated survey thingys. The voice was too robotic to be real.

They rang me just as I was sitting down to dinner, round about 6pm, and started by asking if I was the person they wanted, checking my full name. They said it was for some kind of graduate survey and wanted to ask a bunch of questions. I wasn’t ready for that at all, especially with my social anxiety - unexpected calls like that make me really uneasy, and evenings are when I try to relax, so it felt pretty unfair. I was really irritated because they didn’t even bother to ask if it was a convenient time for me. Normally I don’t pick up unknown numbers, but on that day I was waiting on an important call about an interview I’d done earlier, so I thought it might be that.

They rang me up and wanted my name, when I asked why she just said she'd get back to me later and then straight off she hung up. Also, the number was a VoIP one, so it’s just an internet thing.
